TomTom Go 720 Review

The Tomtom Go 720 portable GPS unit is truly a giant amongst GPS units within the price bracket. It is one of the newer models of GPS and has some outstanding features.  Exceptional satellite acquisition and locking, the GO 720 is an extremely reliable unit that provides everything the casual traveller or technophile could need

It has a 4.3 inch wide screen, and features spoken street directions WITH street names. Combine this with real-time weather and traffic updates, you will have no problem finding the best route possible. It is also BLUETOOTH enabled.

Simple to use, slim design, and an extremely robust build quality, the 720 really doesn’t let itself down at all.  It is small enough to fit easily into your pocket or bag, a much better solution than leaving it in the glove compartment or center console of your vehicle.  A great GPS unit, feature packed, and a delight to use. Garmin Nuvi 265T GPS Review

The Garmin Nuvi 265T is a truly outstanding GPS unit. It has really great predictive technology functionality that allows for stunningly fast satellite locking. Free real-time traffic updates are included, as are free maps of North America. Text to Speech functionality is included. The required directions are announced with street names, making travel much easier.

As with all the other ‘T’ models in the Garmin Nuvi Range, this one too comes with a built in traffic receiver, and provides real time traffic alerts and updates as standard. Currently on sale at Amazon with a 63% saving, this unit really pushes the Nuvi 765T for the ‘best gps for the money’ title. It’s almost too close to call and you can be assured that whichever model you buy, you’ll be getting a great unit.

Garmin Nuvi 765T GPS Review

The Garmin Nuvi 765T can still be given the title of ‘Best GPS for the Money’, due to it’s wonderful features and very low price. As it is an older model, it has been superceded somewhat, but not by units that really offer anything more. The Ease of use of the Garmin touchscreen system, bluetooth compatibility, excellent route planning, efffective real time traffic alerts and update, not to mention an excellent text to speech feature and great map refresh rate.

Have I said enough. These features are enough to rate the Garmin Nuvi 765T number 1 in the GPS wars. That said, take a look at the 265T, it’s not far behind and can be bought for $100 less. I think the 765T has, but only by a whisker.
